Hello there Blogging Land,(or maybe it should be the Blog world welcoming me?)
I am notorious for being nosey and wanting to find out more about others lives, so I figured why not allow a small window into mine as a transition into a new chapter in my life.
So here it goes, I recently had my 21st birthday, which now means I am officially an adult in the eyes of my family, while still being their little baby girl. We took a trip to the beach to celebrate with some of my favorite people. I sure took advantage of my 21-year-old status by doing to normal thing, sitting around eating key lime pie and playing apples to apples, laughing my tail off for 3 hours.
This past week I also made a transition by officially moving out of my apartment, which has been my home for the past two years. I was strange closing that door for the last time and knowing, next time I am in Auburn, I will not be turning off into The Reserve. Although it was sad, I did NOT cry (surprisingly!!!). By ending one chapter, I am about to embark on another one. I now am getting ready to venture into uncharted waters by not being a student in a classroom setting but rather "in the real world" through my internship at Childcare Network. I am super thrilled to begin my new adventure to becoming an adult (whatever that means..hehe). I hope by blogging I can document and share my experience of what all I am learning more of what life is about.
So as my cool sign-off, I will stay true to who I am (and if you know me, it will make sense), and I will use quotes. Quotes that resonate with me, my life and who I am. My first quote is one I found over my beach trip and it fit well, (it was also on the gift my sister gave me for my birthday) and it is..
"I'm not afraid of storms. I'm learning how to sail my ship"
